Dr. Jeff Brown
Owner / Veterinarian
Dr. Brown grew up in Georgia - graduating from Tucker High School in 1975. He went on to follow his passion for animals graduating from the University of Colorado with a BS in chemistry and biology in 1978 then graduating from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1982. He first purchased Stone Mountain Animal Hospital in 1985 then built Sugarloaf Animal Hospital in 1997 and is the sole owner of both hospitals. Dr. Brown lives in Snellville with his wife and children, 2 dogs, 5 cats, many birds and fish. In his spare time he enjoys playing tennis, hockey, mountain climbing and skiing. Dr. Brown is a vet that truly loves and cares for animals.
Dr. Lisa Rollins
Dr. Rollins is a graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine where she also earned her undergraduate degree. A Georgia native, Dr. Rollins grew up in Norcross and graduated from Norcross High School. She has a huge passion for boxers and enjoys attending agility competitions with her boxer, Violet and her Papillon Indy. She shares her home with her husband and daughter and they enjoy spending time at the Georgia Aquarium.
Dr. Lauren Zaleski
Dr. Zaleski is a native of Gwinnett where she graduated from Shiloh High School. She continued her studies at the University of Georgia where she received her BS degree in biology. Continuing her education at UGA’s College of Veterinary Medicine, she graduated in the top of her class in 2004. Her clinical interests include dermatology and dentistry. She lives in Athens with her husband-a dentist at the University, two daughters and hound dog Finley. During football season, Dr. Zaleski and family can be found proudly cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs !
Jennifer joined our reception team in 2003 and was soon promoted to Hospital Manager. She strives to ensure our hospital runs as smooth as possible and every client and their pets are treated as family. She enjoys the 'management' part of her job but loves the one on one contact with clients and being able to provide client education as well as getting to know each and every client and their pets. Originally from Florida, Jennifer and her two children Sarah and Chad moved to Georgia in 1995 and she has worked in the veterinary field every since. They share their home with two Yorkies "Charity and Hope" and a Siamese mix "Blake".
Michelle hails from Canada where she studied Veterinary Technology. After getting married in 2000, Michelle moved to Georgia and started working with us as a Veterinary Assistant in 2001. Her desire to help and attention to details ensures your needs and the needs of your pet will be met. Michelle has rescued many pets over the years so the animal count in her home shifts constantly, but is now holding at 2 dogs (Kingston and Jitterbug) and 4 cats. She enjoys bird watching, the outdoors and spending time with her husband and daughter.
Erica was born in Atlanta but raised in Clinton Iowa. When she moved back to the area, she got her first job in a kennel and realized she wanted to work with animals. She has been one of our Animal Caretaker's since November 2014 and has hopes to start school soon. Erica has a daughter Victoria and a Chihuahua named Boi.
Veterinary Assistant/Animal Caretaker
Shealynn graduated from Grayson High School and started working as an Animal Care Taker in October 2012, and loves every minute of it. She is currently in school at Gwinnett Technical College to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. Upon graduating from Gwinnett Tech, Shealynn wants to attend UGA to become a Veterinarian. Another goal she has, is to one day open her own Pit Bull rescue. In her spare time she loves to spend time with her to Pit Bulls S'More, and Peanut Butter. She also loves to play COD Black-Ops 2 on XBOX 360; and has a huge interest in cars and loves attending local car-meets and is a devoted Falcons, and UGA Bulldog fan!
Jackie joined our team in June of 2015 and loves her job as a Animal Caretaker. Jackie and her family adopted a cat from our clinic about 12 years ago, and she knew then she wanted to be a part of the Veterinary profession. She is currently studying Veterinary Technology at Gwinnett Tech and is enjoying the hands on learning while at work. The more she learns, the greater her passion becomes!
Dana has been grooming at Sugarloaf Animal hospital for the past 4 years. She received a Master Groomer Certification from The International Academy of Pet Design. She has over 10 years experience as a professional pet groomer, but has always had a passion for animals. She and her husband have a cat and 3 dogs. Long hair cat grooms are a specialty as the warm weather arrives.
