Dr. Jeff Brown
 |
Dr. Brown grew up in Georgia - graduating from Tucker High School in 1975. He went on to follow his passion for animals graduating from the University of Colorado with a BS in chemistry and biology in 1978 then graduating from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1982. He first purchased Stone Mountain Animal Hospital in 1985 then built Sugarloaf Animal Hospital in 1997 and is the sole owner of both hospitals. Dr. Brown lives in Snellville with his wife and children, 2 dogs, 5 cats, many birds and fish. In his spare time he enjoys playing tennis, hockey, mountain climbing and skiing. Dr. Brown is a vet that truly loves and cares for animals. |
Dr. Lisa Rollins

Dr. Rollins is a graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine where she also earned her undergraduate degree. A Georgia native, Dr. Rollins grew up in Norcross and graduated from Norcross High School. She has a huge passion for boxers and enjoys attending agility competitions with her boxer, Maverick who is a Conformation Champion. She shares her home with her husband and daughter and they enjoy spending time at the Georgia Aquarium. |
Dr. Adrienne Welch

Dr. Welch joined our staff in early 2004. An Atlanta native, she received top honors from the University of Georgia's Bachelor's Program and School of Veterinary Medicine. Her interests include dermatology and internal medicine. She shares her home with her husband, two daughters and her husky "Artex". Dr. Welch is a devoted Georgia Bulldog's fan, enjoys game days, cooking and gardening. |
Jennifer Brock

Jennifer joined our reception team in 2003 and was soon promoted to Hospital Manager. She strives to ensure our hospital runs as smooth as possible and every client and their pets are treated as family. She enjoys the 'management' part of her job but loves the one on one contact with clients and being able to provide client education as well as getting to know each and every client and their pets. Originally from Florida, Jennifer and her two children Sarah and Chad moved to Georgia in 1995 and she has worked in the veterinary field every since. They share their home with two Yorkies "Charity and Hope" and a Siamese mix "Blake". |
Michelle Sheppard

Michelle hails from Canada where she studied Veterinary Technology. After getting married in 2000, Michelle moved to Georgia and started working with us as a Veterinary Technician in 2001. Her desire to help and attention to details ensures your needs and the needs of your pet will be met. Michelle has rescued many pets over the years so the animal count in her home shifts constantly, but is now holding at 3 dogs and 4 cats. The newest addition to their family was the birth of their daughter Grace in July of 2006. |
Sharif Jones

Born and raised in Brooklyn New York, Sharif moved to Georgia in 2006 and joined our team as a Veterinary Technician in March of 2007 and has been working as a technician for almost 10 years. Using his 'soft-spoken' voice and love for animals, he is able to make even the most frightened pet feel safe. At the present time he is enrolled part time working towards his Bachelors Degree as a Computer Information Systems Programmer. Sharif is 'owned' by one cat named Tigre who goes by "Ty-Ty" for short. |
Kristen Purdy

Kristen was born in Cleveland Ohio and raised in Alpharetta Georgia. She joined our team in the fall of 2006 and has been in the veterinary field for over 11 years, mainly working as a Veterinary Technician. Kristen works as a part time technician and receptionist. She graduated from Kennesaw State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Her passions are kayaking, outdoor sports and taking care of her family. She and her husband share their home with two dogs, four cats, one bird and 2 fish. The newest addition to their family is their son Logan. |
Luann McGee

Luann joined our team in early 2008 and we are very fortunate to have her as our groomer. She has been a professional groomer for 3 years and will groom both dogs and cats. She is an extremely talented groomer and whether it's a big dog or a little cat, long hair or short hair, the results are always the same- a relaxed, enjoyable experience for your pet. Luann is currently enrolled at Georgia State majoring in history. She lives with her family and their Schipperke "Pixie" and cat "Sweet Pea". |
Katie Blackburn

Katie joined our team as an Animal Care Taker in July of 2007. She strives to get to know all of our patients and most recognize her on site making their stay with us more relaxing. She is our cleaner extraordinaire ! Being a very hard worker Katie makes sure the hospital looks it's best by doing all those yucky jobs, like washing windows and scrubbing the tiles! Katie is owned by 3 cats and 2 gerbils. Katie also works part time at a video game store and spends most of her free time playing World of War craft. |
Steven Williams

Steven graduated from Brookwood High School and has been working with our team since the fall of 2006 as an Animal Care Taker. He is currently enrolled in school working on becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician. Aside from the loving care he provides to all the pets at our clinic, he also helps with some of our building / property maintenance. In his spare time, Steven races mountain bikes across the southeast with the Gwinnett Mountain Bike Race Team. He lives with his family with their pug "Chloe" and two cats "Fluffy" and "Gizmo". |
Jenny Dearien

Jenny joined our team in August of 2007 as an Animal Care Taker. She is dedicated to making sure all pets are as comfortable as possible while here, treating each one as her own. Although very quiet and always working hard, Jenny is always paying attention and is already able to anticipate the needs of the technicians or doctors she is assisting. Currently she is enrolled in school working towards becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician. She lives with her family and their lab / boxer mix "Maggie". |
Melissa Walling

Melissa joined our team in September of 2007 as an Animal Care Taker. She is our 'free spirit' and brings a smile to everyone she comes in contact with. Her love for animals allows her to quickly bond with the pets and make them feel at home! She is also a hard worker who doesn't mind any of the 'yucky' jobs we ask her to do. She lives with her family and her best friend "Bear", her chocolate lab. In her spare time, Melissa enjoys music and writing poetry and enjoying the outdoors. |
